It was really cool to visit the Walter Sisulu Square in the heart of Kliptown where the 10 pillars of the Freedom Charter stand, as well as the Kliptown Open Air Museum. It was intriguing to learn about the history of South Africa and the Freedom Charter and the many important people that were part of its drafting.
One of the fun parts of the trip for all of us was seeing the Soweto Towers. As you can see in this photo, the “fun” is clearly evident.
None of us were brave enough to bungee jump from the towers. But maybe next time. :)
South Africa is a country rich in wildlife, history and diversity.
We should celebrate that each time we get a chance to. One way of doing that is by visiting such heritage sites and learning about our rich heritage.
So if you’re going to be visiting any game park this festive season, take that into consideration and most importantly – enjoy!
Let us know what you see so we can share your sightings with the community.
From all of us at Latest Sightings – Happy Holidays and have a great 2017!
