Nile crocodiles are one of the largest crocodile species in the world, with males reaching up to 20 feet in length and weighing up to 1,650 pounds. They are apex predators and will eat just about anything they can catch, including fish, birds, mammals, and even other crocodiles.

“We were parked in the open area overlooking Sunset Dam. Impalas drank on the far end, and herons flew through the air. The chorus of social weavers supplied a tranquil setting. Little did we know we were in for a treat.”
