Awww! We love lion cubs!
We join the action as one of the cubs pounces on its sibling. It seems there is no off switch with these little ones.
As they settle, they sense a new playmate approaching. Except, as the new arrival comes into view, we see it is much bigger than they are.
Consequently, the two cubs brace themselves for the arrival of their elder sibling, a sub-adult male. The first tufts of his mane are just starting to show.
At first glance, you might be mistaken for thinking that this is an attack. However, he is simply being playful, not fully appreciating his size and strength.
Barrelled over. With love.
Subsequently, he barrels over one of the cubs, who paws at him playfully. From the moment cubs are introduced to their prides, they begin to form strong bonds.
And play is one of the most effective ways to do this. It doesn’t hurt that they are also honing their physical development in the process.
However, as big brother moves on, it’s clear they prefer to play with someone their own size.

Sisters for life
In the next scene, we see two of the lionesses rubbing heads. This is a typical lion greeting that serves to strengthen their bond and communal scent.
Not only are lions cooperative hunters, but the lionesses also share parental duties between them.
Testing Mom’s patience
As Mom settles down to rest, one of the cubs spots the flicking black tip of her tail. Unable to resist its movement, the cub pounces.
However, after indulging it for a few moments, Mom rises, making it clear the cub’s needle-sharp teeth are bothering her.
In time, the cub will also sport as impressive a set of canines as she does, so he’d best not try his luck.

Big brother is back
Subsequently, enticed by his younger sibling’s playfulness, big brother returns. Once again, his rough-and-tumble approach overwhelms the cubs.
Consequently, the cubs do what so many younger siblings do when bullied. They run to tell Mom.
However, it looks like she’s in no mood to indulge their mewling and, as the video ends, we see the cubs trying to slow her down.
After all, they could probably do with a feed and a nap after all that fun.
