A determined warthog refused to let a leopard overpower it and the result was far from expected!
Sneaky leopard prowls through bushveld
A beautiful leopard stalked through the bushveld. It was well-hidden because of its distinct markings.
It walked along, head low and muscles taut, eyeing a warthog in the distance.
The moment was filled with tension as the leopard prepared to launch its attack.
Leopards are masters at ambush, and this one walked carefully through the dense bushveld, all the while maintaining focus on its desired prey.

Leopard launches surprise ambush
Then it was full steam ahead. The leopard sprang into the open. This was a hunting machine, honed through years of hunting experience.
However, the leopard had not bargained on its ‘prey’ being more determined than most other animals it had attacked.
It held onto the warthog, claws digging into its hide. Its tail was high and taut in the air, as adrenalin filled its lithe form.
It seemed that an imminent kill was a done deal. However, the warthog started to buck and struggle with the impressive strength of a rodeo bull.
Its strength, spurred on by sheer determination, threw the leopard from its back.
However, the leopard also wasn’t one to give up easily. It got back up and leaping towards the warthog, captured it from the side, holding on to it with its teeth and claws.
The warthog screamed and kicked up a commotion. This was a large warthog and its size was in its favour. The leopard wasn’t going to be taking it down so easily.
The warthog now turned in circles in an effort to shake the leopard off its back. As it turned, the leopard swung around with it.
Warthog and leopard were now like two contenders in a WWE ring. Their power was on full display. The warthog continued to show tremendous strength as it swung the leopard around. The predator continued to cling to it, tearing into its hide with sharp claws and teeth.

The leopard hadn’t bargained on a rodeo ride when it had gone for this warthog, but it seems this is what it ended up having!
The wrestling pair moved like a spinning top across the bushveld, until eventually the leopard managed to take hold of the warthog from its underside and pull it towards the ground.
The warthog appeared exhausted but it had put up a commendable fight. The leopard held the warthog in its grip, also seeming to need a moment to gather its strength.
It was time out in this WWE wrestling match and it appeared the leopard had won. Its strong form now completely subdued the warthog which appeared to have lost its strength.
It was a tragic moment, however, the warthog had proved its mettle as a great warrior; even though it hadn’t managed to completely shake off the leopard. Alison’s video successfully reframed the ‘prey’ as more than a victim, by forever capturing the diehard determination of this warthog.
