Alberto Scattolin has plenty of experience in the Kruger National Park, and when spotted a mating pair of lions, he knew that they were in for a special sighting.
As it turned out, the safari goes were the only ones to spot the lions out. No, a big herd of buffaloes looking for a drink quickly became aware of them as well.
The lions weren’t all that private about it, to begin with. But, it was so ironic that when the last thing the lions could think about was food, they would be greeted by all the buffaloes they could need.
What surprised everyone was how unbothered the lions were with their new audience. Instead of moving slightly away from the buffalo herd, the lion lions decided to carry on with their fun right there in the open.
Typically, buffaloes are a prey species for lions. However, so many buffaloes can certainly be a danger for just two lions. So it was amazing just how carefree this honeymoon lion couple was.
The buffaloes remained very cautious of the lions, but it was terribly hot, and they were too thirsty to even bother chasing them away. Instead, they carefully gathered around the water.
It all ended well for both species; the buffaloes left with their thirst quenched, and the lions continued uninterrupted with their fun.
